We call her Petey

SDC10074

Check out our visitor.

We think this is a girl possum because we've seen her with a much smaller possum on the patio. She's been coming up on the porch and helping herself to the cat food.

I surprised her one night, and she panicked and got herself stuck on the porch. We took the chance to take a few pictures before we turned out the light and let her get away.

She's about a foot and a half long, not counting the tail, so she's a pretty big girl!

I am glad you found the Lesser Known Skeins on Ravelry. Enjoy all the great fiber artists from all over the world. I will visit and comment on your blog often.

Oh my, what a cute possum! They're mean, though, and have a mouth full of teeth! But I'm sure she's probably more afraid of you than you are of her.

I've seen lots of these critters here in south Louisiana

Why are you feeding this varmit? They carry lots of disease and can do lots of damage. YOu should be trapping it, or doing something to get rid of it, not encouraging it to come round. We've had some real issues here in the neighborhood, even had several neighbors who's patio furniture was totally ruined. City now provides traps for them. One of those trap and release type I think is what they're called.

I'm scared of any animal that isn't a cat or a dog lol. That's a great picture you managed to get though!
